Windansea Beach is one of the top surfing breaks in California and was made popular by Tom Wolfe in his book The Pump House Gang. If you prefer to exercise on land, the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, La Jolla Country Club, and renowned Torrey Pines Golf Club make La Jolla a sports heaven for any golfer or tennis player.

La Jolla is also home to some of the finest cultural centers in the United States, including the Museum of Contemporary Art and the La Jolla Playhouse, established by native Gregory Peck. The playhouse is located on the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), which is ranked second in the nation in biomedical and biomedical engineering programs making La Jolla a leading center for biomedical research. Just 7 miles to San Diego’s Downtown Gas Lamp District and its International Airport, La Jolla is definitely a jewel and to own a home in such a prime real estate location is a treasure.
