halloween_pumpkin

La Jolla is known by its 30,000 residents and many visitors alike as a pristine community with picturesque beaches and homes. But it can also be a downright spooky place… that is, during Halloween of course!

If you and your family are going to be spending time in the La Jolla area around Halloween, you may be wondering what is there to do?

To that end, our team at The Daniels Group has you covered!

Below, we’ve compiled a list of 5 spooktacular things you and your kids can enjoy during your San Diego Halloween in and around La Jolla!

Brick-or-Treat at Legoland

If you’re anxious about the idea of your kids going door to door to ask for candy, Legoland has a safer alternative for you.

Every Halloween, the park hosts its Brick-or-Treat party which boasts handing out over 1 million pieces of candy!

Enjoy collecting treats or having a blast enjoying the park’s Ghost Cruise and AstroBash Dance Party.

Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld San Diego

For an amusement park alternative to Legoland, head on down to SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular weekends.

The park has a lot of fun Halloween themed fun from special live shows to trick-or-treating and beyond.

In an effort to keep our ocean’s safe, SeaWorld asks that you bring your own candy collection bags. Alternatively, you can buy one at the park for about a dollar.

Halloween Family Day at Balboa Park

Balboa Park and other area museums will be giving free admission to children under the age of 12 on October 27th.

The event lasts from 11 am to 4 pm and has costume parades, trick-or-treating, and more on offer.

You can get more information about Halloween Family Day here.

Pillage The Village in La Jolla

Pillage the Village is one of the most family friendly La Jolla owned and operated Halloween events to be had on Halloween day.

On Wednesday, October 31st, in the afternoon, bring the family down to local businesses and ask for candy. All businesses are vetted for safety purposes so you can tick or treat with confidence.

A list of participating businesses can be found on the Pillage The Village Website.

Halloween Carnival in La Jolla

The La Jolla Recreation Center will be putting on a carnival on Saturday, October 27th. Kids of all ages are encouraged to come down in costume to enjoy food, jumpers, and fun.

The event will last from 1 pm – 4 pm.

There’s no shortage of San Diego Halloween fun to be had in and around La Jolla. Our recommendation is that your family enjoy as many of the above events as you can stomach to get the most out of the season of frights!
