Halloween Fun for the Whole Family
Suzie’s Farm Pumpkin Palooza
If you’re not acquainted with the wonderful thing that is Suzie’s Farm, you simply must check them out. They have a 140-acre USDA-certified organic farm located thirteen miles south of downtown San Diego where they grow over 100 varieties of seasonal vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruits, year-round. Their Pumpkin Palooza will be held at the farm and is sure to be a fun event for your entire family. Their 2-acre pumpkin patch is open for picking freshly grown pumpkins from this year’s crop. There will also be plenty of food, drinks, entertainment and activities for everyone to enjoy and celebrate the fall season.

The Birch Haunted Aquarium: Shipwrecked Science
In our very own backyard, La Jolla’s Birch Aquarium will host the Haunted Aquarium themed “Shipwrecked Science.” Attendee’s will step into the world of spooky science with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography scientists to search the galleries for rare and unusual creatures of the sea. Some will glow, some are large, and some are small. And what’s a Halloween experience without a little slime? Enjoy shipwreck storytelling and live music for a monster mash of a time! Recommended for ages 2+

Halloween Folly for Big Kids
The Hotel Del Coronado’s Hallo-wine & Spirits Party
Local San Diegans are all familiar with the haunted history of the Hotel Del Coronado. On Friday October 30th, adults 21 and over can come dressed in their Halloween best to wine and dine with the both the living and the spirited at the Del’s annual Hallo-wine & Spirits Party. The theme for this 2015 is “Witches and Warlocks.” There will be a dinner reception is from 7-9pm with grown-up trick-or-treating, wine tasting, and devilishly delectable eats prepared by the Del’s talented culinary team. Come 9pm, the party ventures into the Crown Room for dessert, drinks, dancing and the winner of best costume will be crowned! Guests are also encouraged to keep a special eye out for a potential guest appearance from our resident ghost, Kate Morgan.
A Private Party for the Kids
Children ages 4 thru 12 can attend their very own Halloween party! Costumes are welcome, and kids will enjoy trick-or-treating, dinner and more. Cost is $50 per child. (This is available to hotel guests and Hallo-wine party guests.)

Barbarella Restaurant & Bar in La Jolla
Every year, the staff at Barbarella get into the full spirit of Halloween by decorating the entire restaurant with spooky, creepy, crawly fun. The restaurant and bar is a favorite among La Jolla and San Diego residents. They pride themselves on being “a community place to break bread and enjoy life.” The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is beyond friendly, and the food is locally-sourced, mostly organic, and 100 percent delicious! The restaurant will be decorated all month to celebrate the ghoulish season and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
