La Jolla: 5 Scenic Views You Can’t Miss

Bird Rock Bike Path
Definitely, head to Pacific Beach by traveling the Bird Rock Bike Path. This is a good trail to explore if you want scenic views because it is less crowded than Torrey Pines. Don’t worry, you don’t need a bike. Plenty of people walk it too!
You should also spend some time exploring the Bird Rock community. The area is known as a great surfing spot. The area got its name due to a rock coming out of the water that looks like a bird. Besides surfing, there are parks you can spend time in.
Ho Chi Minh Trail
Locals frequent this scenic trail, especially for surfing. The trail leads to Blacks Beach. Be mindful if you have kids along, as the trail is rocky and steep in some parts. It can be very slippy after rain too. The trail is about a mile long.
Coast Walk Trail
If you love coastlines, this is the scenic area for you. The Coast Walk trail goes from La Jolla Cove to La Jolla Shores. The trail is an easy walk, not difficult for anyone. The scenery is beautiful, especially around sunrise and sunset!
Mt. Soledad is located at the top of a residential neighborhood. This area has a wonderful trail that gives panoramic views of the ocean. There are benches at the top if you need a rest before turning around and leaving.
Mt. Soledad is also a great place to stargaze. If you do decide to catch an evening of stargazing, be sure to pack a sweatshirt or a blanket!
