Halloween in La Jolla 2014 – Bring on the FUN!
Halloween in La Jolla this 2014 will get you into the spirit big time with some fun celebrations, scary movies, pumpkin patches and so much more! Below is a list of some spooky fun activities suitable for you and your family. Birch Haunted Aquarium
Discover what lurks beneath the surface at the Haunted Birch Aquarium: Shipwrecked! Explore wreckage for sunken treasures, have close encounters with the fishy kind and BOO-gie down with Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters. You and your family will love wandering the aquarium’s galleys for tricky treats and having a monstrous good time! Children can dress up on Friday or Saturday, Oct. 24-25th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm! Pet Costume Party
Your beloved four-legged friends can get in on the Halloween fun in La Jolla as well! There will be treats and games for the animals, as well as their “parents”! Bird Rock Window Painting
Feeling creative? Bring your kids to this fun La Jolla event! Families are invited to come out and paint the storefront windows of more than 20 local La Jolla businesses on Saturday, October 25, 2014, on La Jolla Blvd. Adults can volunteer as well. Contact the Bird Rock Community Council for more information.
Shores Fall Family Fest
Come the seventh annual La Jolla Shores event hosted by the merchants along Avenida de la Playa on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. There will be music, raffle, face painting, jumper, food and even a costume parade! Tickets for this fun La Jolla event are $7. Visit www.lajollashoresfallfest.com for more info.
The La Jolla Recreation Center will have face painting, snack bar, games, pony rides, inflatable jumpers, costume contest and more! Come join the fun on Saturday, October 25th, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Game tickets are 25-cents each! For more info, click here.
The first annual Village Carnival will be held on Saturday, October 25th, at the La Jolla Rec Center, 615 Prospect Street. Family Harvest Festival
La Jolla Community Church will host the Family Harvest Festival on Friday, October 31st, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. This fun La Jolla event has free admission, along with bounce house, crafts, game booths, prizes, free hot dogs, pumpkin decorating and more! Barbarella Spook-a-thon Dining

Open Aire Market Harvest Festival
The La Jolla Open Aire Famers Market will have all kinds of fun Halloween events: Guess the weight of the giant pumpkin and you can take it home, potato sack races, mini pumpkin decorating, soccer fun, dancing, prizes, music and more! Silent Horror Spooky Films
In the mood for some scary movies? On October 31st at 7:00pm, come to the Seuss Room at Geisel Library, UC San Diego, for some cinema fun! Watch 16mm silent surprises with hauntings, demons and ghosts. The Teeny-Tiny Pit Orchestra will perform music and sounds as the silent films roll! This La Jolla event is free.
